"IT'S TIME TO SAY THANKS"
Families living within the Canadian Prairies are respectfully asked to consider participation in the 2009 Cameco Canada Remembers International Air Show.
...with over 3,000 Veterans leaving our midst each and every month, the time to properly acknowledge our country's aging heroes has never been more critical...
And although these brave men and women would
never "ask" to be thanked for the incomprehensible sacrifices they
endured as young Canadians ... it is today's generations'
responsibility to accept the challenge of ensuring that our Veterans'
final years are carried forth with the public's full understanding,
appreciation, respect and Honour of Remembrance, they so deserve.
Remembrance Day Ceremonies across Canada are attracting fewer and fewer from the general public ... lending credibility to the fear that when our Veterans are all gone ... will society take the time to Remember? Saskatoon, Saskatchewan does. And will.
Your support of this National Award-winning Attraction will help this province continue to be the nation's leader in saluting Canada's Veterans.
Quite simply Canada ... "IT'S TIME TO SAY THANKS"
The Books of Remembrance contain the names of Canadians who fought in wars and died either
during or after them. All the books are kept in the Memorial
Chamber located in the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill. The purpose
of creating a site that displays these books on the Internet is to
make them more accessible to the public. Quite aptly named are
these testaments to Canada's past, for by their very title they
remind us to never forget the foundations of courage on which
Canada is built.
